Cumulus uploading to WUnderground - loss of data

Hi,

I upload my PWS data to Wunderground via Cumulus. Normally this is trouble-free but for the 3rd day in a row 12 hours of records have 'disappeared' from WU. They have magically reappeared the next day so I'm mystified as to what's happening.

I've raised a ticket with WU and I'm hoping it's an issue with their servers but it's very strange because I'm losing data starting at exactly the same time. The last entry is 07:35 and the next one is 19:35 tonight.

But I looked at today's data a couple of hours ago and it was there then. The only thing I've done in the last two hours is restart Cumulus 2 but I don't see how that could be a problem. I'm running both Cumulus programs plus VirtualVP, VPLive and WeatherLink.

Has anyone else had a problem on WU this week?

I have occasionally seen weird issues with WU and their data. In your case it almost sounds like they have multiple servers in which their data resides. Sounds like you occasionally hit a server that is not properly synced the others.

This is definitely a problem at WU and not with my setup. I've checked a couple of other PWSs in my area and they're missing data for the exact same period.

If it is a server issue let's hope they sort it out soon. Running C2 was just a coincidence thank goodness!

Have had the same problem here in New Zealand with WUnderground. Looks as if the data is being received by WU but not being displayed. Have also noticed other weather stations around the area having the same problem.

Thanks for that Peter. My data reappeared by late evening yesterday and so far today has been fine.

But in the next 2-3 hours I'll be watching carefully to see if I start missing data from 19:35 (18:35Z). The problem has at least been a consistent one regarding the time stamp of the affected data.
