My cp210x driver is loaded but the Pi doesn't want to assign my AW-2080 a virtual tty. Has anyone seen/resolved this issue yet?

system info:

Raspberry Pi Model B
Linux raspberrypi 3.18.11+ #781 PREEMPT Tue Apr 21 18:02:18 BST 2015 armv6l GNU/Linux

output from dmesg:

Fine Offset stations (of the type that work with Cumulus, which I think includes the AW-2080) don't use a virtual serial port. If configured with the correct station type (the Fine Offset without solar sensors), then Cumulus should just be able to find it and use it. Is it not working?
