I just wondered if maplin Professional Solar Powered Wifi Weather station
would connect to Cumulus!

Which model number as some of the new solar powered "Professional" stations do not.

If you mean the one that sells for £199.99 Model No N23DQ

The one that does is the original Fine Offsets model N96GY.
