I am having occasional hassles with an Instromet logger where data flow is suspect ( not a Cumulus Problem!)
When this occurs my weather station web pages sometimes show erroneous values.
Most of these I can resolve by correcting any corruptions in the relevant files within Cumulus.
I have one that has me totally baffled and that is Sunshine hours.
Today I had a data flow problem and in the end, after getting the logger back on line with Cumulus, had a sunshine hours reading on my website of 94.7 hours!
I went through the month log ie Aug15.log and corrected it
I went through the Today file and corrected it
I went through the Daily file and corrected it
I also sorted out the realtime file and corrected it.
But the web site and local PC display keep showing the same 94.7 hour reading.
Is there another place that Cumulus may be storing this value that I am missing?
Many thanks
Dave

Re: where are recording stored?
Instromet stations supply sunshine hours directly, as an ever-increasing counter, in much the same way as rainfall. As with rainfall, Cumulus stores the value of the counter at the start of each day, and calculates today's figure by subtracting that from the figure currently being supplied by the station.
It stores the figure in the [Solar] section of today.ini as an item called 'SunStart'. So, to modify today's figure, you need to stop Cumulus and change that SunStart figure so that the calculation is correct. E.g. if you want to reduce that 94.7 by 90, to 4.7, add 90 to the SunStart figure.

Re: where are recording stored?
Many thanks Steve that has sorted it now.
I kept correcting the files but, like the 'Terminator' it kept coming back!
