Error light - PC not reading data from Ambient console

My Ambient Weather station and Cumulus worked from late last year until 7/29. I didn't shutdown Cumulus and took the ThinkPad off the dock on a short trip. Since then I cannot get it to read data from the weather station console although EasyWeather shows data for the entire period. When I start Cumulus, I get the red error light and the following msg:
8/9/2015 7:22:25 PM : The station is not initialised
8/9/2015 7:22:25 PM : Byte 0 = 12 Byte 1 = 43
8/9/2015 7:22:25 PM : Try resetting the console

I don't want to reset the station and lose 10 days of data. I renamed the data\Dayfile.txt and it made no difference. That file is about 52K in size. I re-ran the setup (not replacing the html templates). No joy. Win7-64Pro.

The first two bytes of the station's memory are supposed to indicate that the station thinks it is working correctly; yours do not have the correct values, so Cumulus does not attempt to download data as it believes it is likely to be corrupt. Thanks - that did it! I am missing data for several days in July, but ok for the most recent two weeks. After it uploaded to Cumulus, I removed the line from the .ini, reset the console and bounced the ThinkPad. All seems fine now. Thanks for all you do, Steve and others. Sorry I missed that in the FAQ.
