No upload to website

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

No upload to website

Post by G6GUH »

Hi everyone,
I have a problem whereby uploads to my website work fine with Cumulus 1.9.4, but with MX version 3027 ( also with 3026 ) the files will not upload to the website, if I use Core FTP to see what is happening on the website the files will transfer OK as soon as I close it they all stop. I have checked that the website ftp address is ok along with the file locations and that the password is correct, could it be a firewall problem or is there another problem. I have attached my ftp log and todays MXdiags file,.

PC is running windows 10 but had the same problem a few weeks back on win 7, which I did not sort then so gave up for awhile.

any help would be appreaciated

Regards

It looks like the remote end (or something in between) is closing the control connection. Having Core FTP connected is somehow stopping that happening, presumably. You're using the default passive mode, is that what works with Cumulus 1.9.4?

Hi Steve, thanks for the quick reply.

Yes all parameters are the same so I will have to contact the site providers at the other end.

Thanks

It could well be a local firewall issue, in that case. Perhaps allowing incoming traffic from port 21 while Core FTP is running, but blocking it when it's not. It may need MX adding to its rules.
