RaspberryPI with CumulusMX and Davis Vantage Vue

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

What version of Mono? Are you using a locale which uses decimal commas?

@Do2fn: Steve is asking this very important question because:
If you have a new Raspberry Pi 2, a new Mono Verison is available: Mono JIT compiler version 4.0.2 (Stable 4.0.2.5/c99aa0c Wed Jun 24 10:33:52 UTC 2015)
Please read this: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13587
Unfortunatley, this Version of Mono is not available for the old Raspberry pi.

The reason for the second part of his question, about the locale (I can see, you are using German) are you using Comma as a seperator in your Data or . ?
Or other question: Have you already moved data logfiles from your old existing Cumulis 1.x verison to the new Verison on the Raspberry Pi ?
to find out, what seperators you are using , please use this command and paste the 3 result lines here and read here: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12943

ls -t /home/pi/CumulusMX/data/*log.txt | head -1 | cut -d " " -f10 |xargs tail -n3

* so good to know what Raspberry Pi you are using (the ione with 1 GB or the one with 512 MB RAM)
* What seperators are you using in your data Logfiles

You're using a decimal comma, this won't work with Mono 3.2.8 - see the FAQ/known issues post.

Raspbian has the required driver already installed for the Davis USB logger.

What is the output from

dmesg | grep cp210x

and what have you put in the 'Serial port name' in the station settings in Cumulus?

cp210x converter now attached to ttyUSB0
The clue is here, COM ports are not called COM ports in Linux type systems i.e. a RaspberryPI

what should you put in the com port on a RPi. I am finally trying to get this working on my loft RPi :) but it doesn't detect the Davis Vue

output I have is
pi@raspberrypi ~ $ dmesg | grep cp210x
[ 6.538936] usbcore: registered new interface driver cp210x
[ 6.824456] usbserial: USB Serial support registered for cp210x
[ 6.832460] cp210x 1-1.3:1.0: cp210x converter detected
[ 7.195774] usb 1-1.3: cp210x converter now attached to ttyUSB0

Linux devices are represented by device files in /dev, so if dmesg says your adapter is connected to ttyUSB0, the serial device is /dev/ttyUSB0, as in the example in the MX FAQ post.
