Everything appears to be working
Took about 3 hrs on downloading and installing
AND of Course Cumulus works

Great have a look in Settings -> Updates find how updates are delivered, Microsoft has enabled by default to share updates over the internet (a sort of peer to peer distubution) I've set this to off you can set it to local only but I don't want to give my bandwith to the whole internet

That sounds a bit odd - will check on that. I would have thought by security software would have stopped anything like that ?
For anyone else reading - I didnt need my Windows Product ID/Key at all
PS - now checked what you suggest but cant find the section you mentioned, nothing obvious ?
OK in that case I will do a clean install about sharing updates look here old article but so it goes now up to you to decide

Do you think they are downloading software to your PC, to be then shared and downloaded from your Pc to the rest of the world ?
I am no computer expert, but that doesnt sound right at all. I hope my security software stops any outbound traffic.
Will check further in the settings.
cheers

Yes I did follow a Dutch expert-forum , updates are digital signed by MSoft but it wil use traffic if you share to the internet. It should not be intrusive but cost you bandwidth (just like sharing torrents etc.) If you are not concerned about bandwidth you can share with the Internet. A lot of people in Belgium by example have a monthy limit the option to put it off is rather hidden , I've unlimited bandwith but turned sharing off. (btw The 'future' is announced by MSoft bit I can't remember where..)
