I have recently changed my computer to Windows 7. I have managed to to get Weatherlink and Cumulus to upload to WUnderground but cannot get Cumulus to upload to WOW.

Thanks CGL

You will need a Site ID and PIN from them and then enter that information in WOW section of Cumulus > Configuration > Internet settings. I can't recall how long it takes for your station then to show on the WOW site. When you are subscribing for your Site ID you will then fill in the various information for your site and station, which can be edited later as well. Have you been able to get to this step?

Enjoy,
Paul

If you think you have all the information that Paul has described configured correctly, turn on debug logging in Cumulus, then the debug.log file will show the attempted WOW update and any error message returned.

Thanks for replies.
I had WOW working on my previous computer.
Checked the 'debug.log file' and there is no mention of uploading to WOW, but it is to WUnderground.

Could you show a screen shot of the WOW section of the internet settings screen, please?

With WU, are you using rapid fire? Is your station working correctly - all sensors reporting?

Yes, I am using Rapid Fire and all the sensors are reporting OK.

That's probably why WU is updating but not WOW, rapid fire is triggered by a different mechanism. If you turn off rapid fire, the WU updates will almost certainly stop too. Something is causing Cumulus not to do its periodic tasks, or at least some of them. Are you uploading to a web site, and if so, is that updating OK? Is Cumulus writing entries to the July log file?

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll see if I can see anything. The debug.log file may also be useful. And the settings screenshot asked for earlier...

Hi Steve,
I have turned off Rapid Fire to WU, still sending data.
I am not uploading to a web site.
Cumulus is writing to July data log.
Have attached 'I hope' Wow Internet settings, Diags Folder, debug log file.

Here's one of the attempted WOW updates, from near the beginning of debug.log (lines 21-24):

2087.465 : 10:31:00 Updating WOW
2087.465 : http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/automaticre ... s%20v1.9.4
2087.699 : WOW update done
2087.699 : 10:31:01 WOW Response Code: 403 Response = {"errorMessage":"Failed authentication. Please check the authentication key in the site settings."}

So WOW thinks your PIN is incorrect.

When I first installed Cumulus on my new computer, WOW would not work so I changed the P/W because I thought this was the problem. I have reinserted the ID and P/W several times! I could change the P/W again to see if this works.

Are you perhaps putting your WOW password in rather than the 6-digit PIN for your station? The debug log prints an asterisk for each character of the PIN, so that doesn't look like a 6-digit PIN to me.

Yes, you were right it was the PIN, I was putting the P/W in instead.
I did not have a proper note of the Pin and ID.

I have another question. Is it possible to make a table like the NOAA but with some extra parameters.

Thank you for your help.

On a web page, yes, but not automatically within Cumulus. You would either have to use existing web tags to create the table for the current month, or - much better - use an SQL database and construct the table on demand.
