Increasing Wind Speed and Gusts

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

I can't think of anything else that I can change, given that it works OK with real Fine Offset stations.

It is a mystery for sure. I am going to investigate further.

If I cannot figure out anything I may try one of the other small computers. Like a Beagle Bone Black. Didn't you say you had one of those? If so does CumulusMX run any different on one of those?

Thanks for the effort on your part.

It runs the same for me on the BB Black as on the Pi2, they seem to have similar performance.

Today I installed Linux Mint 17.2 in order to test CumulusMX on it. I had a problem with the station being recognized but found an answer to it in this post:

https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... linux+mint

I ran CumulusMX for quite a while on Linux Mint and had no problems at all. No erroneous readings like on my Raspberry Pi 2.

Since both are Linux based why do you think it is running fine on Linux Mint but not Raspian?

Mint is presumably not on your Raspberry Pi? So it's something about Raspbian, or perhaps more likely the Pi hardware itself, that is causing the issue. I have no idea what that could be.

When I woke up this morning I found that at 04:00 hours that my 8.1 windows machine had started the same spikes of wind gusts and wind speed as I had saw on the Raspberrypi and Beaglebone Black.

I am using Cumulus1 on that machine.

Where do you think I should investigate to find the problem? I checked my connections in the wires and everything seems good. This is a cabled station and not wireless. I am using the Fine Offset anemometer and vane. The numbers seem the same as on the Pi and Bone. Like 87.2, or 86.6, 42.1 mph etc. etc.
