There is a forum that deals extensively with Weather Display:

http://www.weather-watch.com/sfm

I've used it for years, still do. It is a very full weather program that can do a lot. It has a large learning curve and has many updates. For some, it is too much of a program for what they are attempted to do.

It is also not free though I think if you use Cumulus you should make a donation of some kind.

There is not much point in discussing it here as there are many forums that have WD sections and this is a forum about Cumulus.

"weather display is a good programe"

May have lots of bells and whistles but Cumulus as a "user" programme beats in on all counts. I used WD for 2 months and eventually got fed up of the resources it required to run WD which required easyweather to operate using the .dat file. It needed 1.5gb of RAM to operate, yes! 1.5gb. Cumulus runs in 14mb and gave me my computer back.

You need a degree in tech to operate WD, Cumulus is straight from the tin.

No comparison!

We seem to have acquired a couple of trolls in the forum. Andrew in particular seems to only be here as a nuisance value time for someone to disable him :)

Andrew seems to be behaving now, so I've left him be.

As is your prerogative, Tnet and I both answered him politely (rather a strange thing for me to do) but he came back negatively considering this forums focus.

I am a licensed user of WD it runs a very comprehensive site for me, (many items on it are produced by separate PHP scripts thou [see my main site]) It is a heavy weight program requiring a little more than average IT skills to get the best out of it and it also doesn't meet my requirements for presentation (your good lady would understand that)

Where Cumulus fits in is my desire to have a cheap option to introduce new people to the joys of Weather Stations and the skills of data presentation to the public. (have you seen my mangle of your template :) )

I am not a weather nut, always had as a farmers son a nose for the weather, so an interest yes, but my main interest is presenting the data as a public service and getting it as good as I can and playing with the IT behind it.

I will keep supporting Cumulus (and Tnet) to hopefully keep you developing, I have no idea where GB15 pounds goes these days, but its about $50 nz which is not a lot, equals a couple of kilos of good steak.

So anyway i will keep spreading the word and hopefully you will get enough donation support to get a solar and UV sensor set so you can support that as well :)
