Aercus WS3083 - Cumulus not receiving data

Hi,
I have a ~6month old Aercus WS3083 Fine Offset station which since yesterday lunchtime has not been sending data to Cumulus. I would say I have had intermittent issues with the station since purchasing it which have tended to be fixed with a reset, re-boot, or just resolved itself but this is the first time it's been down for more than an hour or two.

The error in Cumulus is "Fine Offset station not responding. You may need to reset it (remove batteries and USB cable)"

I have looked at similar postings and based on previous advice checked the USB ports for power standby (all were unchecked), tried another 2 laptops with Cumulus installed, also installed EasyWeather, changed console batteries, reset the station, rebooted the laptop...still no joy. The console itself appears to be working fine in that it is showing updated data from the station outside. The only thing I haven't tried is a new USB cable which I will pick up today if I can.

If anyone else has any ideas please let me know. I've attached the debug log though unfortunately forgot to get the diags folder zipped.

--edit - forgot to add the settings in cumulus - I have checked 'Synchronise Fine Offset reads'

If you've tried a full reset (removing the USB cable and batteries at the same time for a few minutes) and Cumulus still says that it can't communicate with the station, then the station is probably faulty. Trying a new good quality cable is a good idea. It's not clear from what you've said whether or not Easyweather was able to communicate with the station?

Thanks Steve. EasyWeather was also unable to display content from the station. So you've confirmed my suspicions that the console may be faulty however I will try a new USB cable in the meantime. I've emailed Greenfrog Scientific as well so will post any further updates here.

I got a new USB cable but no difference. Same issues.

Attaching the files in the diags folder but doesn't seem like it will tell you anything new - very much looks like a sensor/station issue. Does anyone have a phone number for Greenfrog, can only find their online webform and didn't get a response to my request for support today.

They just confirm that the console isn't responding.

Hi Crowdie.

Have you solved the problem, if not try this.
In device manager find the USB for the station and uninstall it, restart the PC and it will automaticaly re-install the driver, then try Cumulus.

I have a HP PC and Cumulus worked with W8, when I upgaraded to W8.1 Cumulus would not work, but using the above all is now Ok.
