Cumulus Support

Hi, I am probably missing something but I cannot see it !. I can up load to my website with my old version but not with MX, I hope that all of the parameters are right as they were copied from the original cumulus, could someone guide me please, I have attached the diag file it may help.

It can't connect to the ftp server:

2015-05-31 14:18:35.265 Attempting realtime FTP connect
2015-05-31 14:18:50.274 Error connecting ftp - Timed out trying to connect!

The most likely reason is that you have an error in the settings in Cumulus. It could also be a firewall/anti-virus issue.

If you can't see the problem, attach a screen shot of your Cumulus settings and your MX settings (hiding any passwords) and perhaps also turn on ftp logging to see what the ftplog.txt file has to offer.

Just a thought, does MX work with weather blues v2 ?

As far as I am aware it does, as it has pretty much the same set of web tags available. As you're asking that, does that mean you've fixed your ftp problem?

Not yet, wallpapering calls so I will look later this evening. I had a quick look on the web site with the ftp uploaded and it seems to connect ok but no data is transferred so I it is something simple.

Morning everyone. still getting nowhere and seem to be going around in circles, previous version of Cumulus uploads to the website ok but MX does not seem to upload, I suspect that one on the parameters is wrong but for the life of me I cannot see it. Attached are the settings files of both versions and the log files.

Any help very much appreciated.

Can't read that second MX screen shot, but it looks like you have Active FTP mode set, unlike in Cumulus 1, which is quite possibly the problem. If not, could you also expand the Web/FTP site settings, and show that, and also upload the ftplog.txt file as previously mentioned.

Sorry Steve missed those.

For some reason ftplog.txt file won't attach as it tells me it is over 5megs so I will look at that and try to send as a separate file

Steve, I have deleted the ftp log and restarted MX, I have attached the new logfile if it is of any use

It looks like it is able to connect now that you have switched to passive mode, and at least some of the uploads are working, but possibly some are timing out. What's the URL of your web site?

Some of the uploads are getting through, but most are timing out - realtime.txt is only updating every few minutes. This suggests a communication problem somewhere between you and the ftp server, or perhaps a problem with the ftp server.
