Hi all, i have managed to convert a lot of the Cumulus MX interface for use as a website.

It uses the existing Cumulus web tags as well as a few other bits of code here and there, A lot of thanks to Steve for helping out and explaining a lot of the JavaScript to me.

a live version of the website is available here: http://homeservers.org.uk/weather

and i will most likely be releasing the templates fairly soon if anyone is interested.

thanks

hi, yes forgot to mention that, i for the life of me cannot work out how to get the charts to display on the web pages as i am unsure of how they are generated within cumulus. so until i figure it out they will have to stay broken :(

The charts are part of the standard web site, so should be straightforward. In the UI, they get their data by calling URLs in MX. On the web, they use exactly the same data, but load it from the files which MX uploads (tempdata.json etc). So just use the supplied cumuluscharts.js file instead of the chart.js that the UI uses.

I for the life of me still cannot get the charts working, i must be missing something really obvious, i have edited the path in the chartsT.html to point to cumuluscharts.js but they still are not working. what really obvious thing have i missed?

One file is missing at least http://homeservers.org.uk/weather/graphconfig.json Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

The browser console shows a 404 for http://homeservers.org.uk/weather/graphconfig.json - and the graph data files seem not be there either, e.g. http://homeservers.org.uk/weather/tempdata.json - do you have MX set to upload those?

thanks for the reply's, hmm cumulus is set to upload these, however i hadn't actually checked whether it was actually doing it, i may re add the entries in cumulus.

removing the web file entry then re adding it seemed to do the trick, the graph pages now work as they should.

thanks all! :D
