Location of json files

Did fresh install of CumulusMX on Windows 10. Copied data directory only from existing install. Everything seems to work fine on the old web server except that graphs do not show on the trends page. Investigation shows that the json data files for graphing on website are created in Cumulus main folder rather than the web folder where I was expecting them to go. I run nginx on the same computer and serve files directly from the web folder without the need to FTP. Is there any reason why the json files could not be created in the web folder?

No, there's no reason, and it would probably have made more sense to put them in there. For 99.9% of users it doesn't make any difference, but I may look at moving them in a future build - for now you could get Cumulus to copy them.

You might also consider moving realtime.txt as well as it is also in a different place from the rest of the web files and the only one remaining in a different place (unless I have missed something).

Indeed it is. But realtime.txt has been in that location from the very first version of Cumulus, nearly 12 years ago, so there is not such a clear case for moving it in MX. I guess it will need an option (probably hidden in the ini file) and then the vast majority of users for whom this isn't an issue need not worry about it.
