I have a dumb question.
How to update CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi ?
I just found out, replacing the exe is not enough. Cumulus is complaining about missing 'files.
So I assume, I need to replace the complete Main Folder with all EXe and DLLs ?

I did this finally and Cumulus 3025 is starting but again, the Station Settings Page (and also others like Internet Settings Page etc) was empty. (They worked with 3024.
I just reverted the update back 3024 and all was okay.
I will repeat it tomorrow again when I have more time......

Yes, of course.

You will need to look for error messages in the browser F12 console and in the diags file.

Hi again, I got a similar 'dumb' question which is connected to this topic:

Steve, you have written in another post, that we should simply unzip the content of the new version (e.g. 3025) into the existing Cumulus folder (e.g. 3024 + station specific data).
I would do that tomorrow and start testing.
However, I am wondering whether this is really the safe way, i.e. whether there are no remains from the earlier version which maybe will cause trouble.. (?)
What's your advise/ experience?

There are no deleted files, only new or replaced, so there can be nothing left over from the previous version. If you want to be very careful so you can easily go back to the previous version if necessary, take a copy of the existing installation first.

did you get the 3025 Versiopn running and do you have access to the station settings page after it ?
I tried to install 3 day ago, but first I only copied the cumulus exe file and Cumulus started with an error.
After this, I recognized, that a lot of other files also need to be copied and after I did this, I have empty station Settings again. (Maybe the first try destroyed some data)
Finally, I restored a backup and I am still at 3024.
Thats the reason why I asked you, because we both are having/using german locales.

I tried once again, extracting Version 3025 including subfolders and 3025 is running.
All Pages are loading.

Hi, just read your last comments. Yes , everything is working fine and flawless since I updated to 3025 in the way described above.
