Rainfall history graph shows data from the year 2101

My daily rainfall graph is showing some slightly odd behaviour:

I have been through the records and log files but I can't find any datestamps which refer to 2101.

It's probably a date format error in dayfile.txt - have you been editing it? If you can't see what the problem is, attach the file to a reply here and I'll take a look.

No, I haven't edited the dayfile.txt and it only shows valid dates in the first field.

As requested, I've attached it :-)

It's line 569 which is causing the problem; something apparently went wrong with the date on your PC some time in February:

You should probably just remove that line.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have amended the dayfile but it doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.

I'm not sure that the machine's time is the root cause as it is used for satellite tracking and earth observations (as well as running Cumulus), which are very time critical, so it actually has it's own GPS time source with an external antenna and backup NTP sources. Also none of the other software showed any issues. Could it be an integer over-run issue?

Did you restart Cumulus after correcting the file? Assuming that you did, please attach the updated file here.

Cumulus reads the date from Windows using standard system calls, so if the date it got was wrong but the PC clock was correct, then some problem occurred in the system routines. I have not experienced this myself in all the years that I have been using Cumulus, so I can't offer any further explanation, and it is too long ago now for the Cumulus diagnostic logs to have any information. Unless of course you hardly ever restart Cumulus and it runs for weeks at a time?
