Manual rainfall entry

I manually enter my rainfall every morning around 6 or 7am. I do not use my Davis rain bucket but am a member of the CoCoRHaS network.
I usually use the dayfield.txt file to do this. Does entering the amount in the Today or Yesterday box on the main screen also enter it into the dayfield.txt file?
I also see that Cumulus will upload the monthly totals but not daily totals to weatherbug. This is the only site I see that will show that.
