Help please
I have set up my sun threshold to level I'm happy with now and it seems to be recording when its sunny but no directly on the panel. However my station is only recording sun hours on Cumulus when my laptop is actively in use. Eg Its on and I'm using it. If its on sleep or standby then its not recording live data. How can I counteract this? Its bad enough having to leave my laptop on, but leaving it on constantly with the screen not going into sleep isn't the only way surely?!

Re: Help please
Are you closing Cumulus down and then starting it up again, or letting it run while you allow the PC to go into standby?

Re: Help please
I'm just leaving it open as if I was using it and letting the laptop go in to sleep itself.steve wrote:Are you closing Cumulus down and then starting it up again, or letting it run while you allow the PC to go into standby?

Re: Help please
You can't leave Cumulus running and allow your PC to go into standby; see the readme.txt, and the large print at the top of the forum.
If it's closed down properly, it catches up using data from the station's logger when you start it up again. If you set 'close on suspend', it will attempt to close itself down when your PC goes into standby. You will then need to start it up again later manually. The best solution is not to let the PC that it's running on go into standby, then Cumulus can better do its job of collecting live weather data.
