Merging CUMULUS Files from Two PCs

My primary PC had a data disk problem. I run RAID1 twin 2tb drives that are separate from the CUMULUS data files on my C: drive.
I periodically copy my CUMULUS folder to another computer and fired-up CUMULUS on the backup to continue my data collection.
It took over a week to get my system reconfigured to RAID1 4tb drives. The third person knew what to do. This can be tricky.

So is it as simple as using Notepad++ to add the ASCII data from the backup to the \data\Apr15log.txt file on the primary computer? Will all the downstream files get updated from the merged log file?

Yes, I will make a couple of backups before I start this procedure! I never dropped my punch card deck back in the 1960s. Strong rubber bands!

Yes, you can just merge in the entries using notepad++. The other Cumulus data files like dayfile.txt and the ini files holding highs and lows won't get updated, you will need to use the editors in Cumulus to fetch the new data, starting with dayfile.txt. Ideally, you would merge those files manually also, as the monthly log files do not necessarily contain the high/low values.
