Just to show how difficult a job our local NWS office in Pueblo,CO. has, today in its forecast area, it is dealing with the following conditions: Red Flag warnings, Dangerous Fire conditions, possible heavy rains with thunderstorms, snow mixed with rain and a Winter Storm Warning!! In my county/weather zone, there is the possibility of thunderstorms this afternoon. Currently it is snowing, later today we have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until Noon on Friday, and a little higher up on the mountain its a Winter Storm Warning for 12-20" of snow. Out East of here, there is the very good possibility of severe weather in the form of thunderstorms and hail!! What a job this weather service office has to forecast for such a diverse area. They do a very good job at it, I might add!!
