What causes the data input errors is it Cumulus is not receiving data from the station or is it the station is not receiving data from the sensors?

It's Cumulus not receiving data from the console. The changes I have in the pipeline should fix the issue during synchronisation, but if you are getting that with sync turned off, that may be a different issue related to your station or the USB connection.
