Re: Realtime.txt update

Post by PaulMy »

I can confirm there is no upload of other than the files marked with realtime. I jumped to the wrong conclusion when I noticed the other than realtime files showing "===Processing" in the log file. There is no time elapsed for these files.

The realtime.txt and the other 4 realtime upload files look like each take about 3 sec each so that is my 15 seconds between Start of realtime FTP and End of realtime FTP. Actually 15:00x sec is the most common interval from looking at the log. Is there any disadvantage of setting the Cumulus realtime interval at 15 sec?

I have my extra files processing/upload listed in the order that I added them over time with some in the main 10 files in Configuration Internet Files, and others added as extras in cumulus.ini. Is there any efficiency to be gained by keeping the realtime files together, say the first 4 in Configuration Internet Files?

Thanks,
Paul

Only that if it does take more than 15 seconds for any uploads, it will not be until another 15 seconds has elapsed that it does the next upload. If you set it to 5 seconds, say, while you won't actually get an upload every 5 seconds, it will always attempt the next upload within 5 seconds of the previous one ending.

No, because the time taken to scan the list is insignificant.
