Incorrect minimum temperature recoded

Three times over the past couple of weeks, my Aercus WS3083 has recorded a new minimum temperature of -22.4. Always this temperature. It is obviously incorrect, and has now messed with my all time records.

I am able to manually change the record back to what I think it was by editing the data file, but am concerned that this continues to occur.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? and is there an easy way apart from having to edit manually the records to reset it?

Also, can this be due to a low battery issue? There is no indication as to a low battery level on the console from the sensors though

Many Thanks.

It's a common problem with Fine Offset stations; sometimes it can be caused by low batteries in the transmitter. You can use the 'spike removal' settings on the Cumulus calibration settings screen to get Cumulus to filter them out. Just put in setting for temperature corresponding to a difference which would never occur between two readings in reality, e.g. 10 degrees.
