Re: Ftp error
You'll need to turn on ftp logging and look at ftplog.txt to get more information about what the problem is.
It's not easy to say what you need to put for the directory in Cumulus, because it depends on which directory your ftp account puts you in when you log in. Try public_html/weather, if the server puts you in "home" when you log in.

Re: Ftp error
Something to think about with respect to domain migration.
I have a GoDaddy domain. On May 9, 2015 my CUMULUS updates stopped. I was completely puzzled. I called GoDaddy and on May 9, 2015 my domain was transferred to another server. The migration assigned me a new IP address (which CUMULUS needs). I did get an e-mail from GoDaddy, but the significance didn't hit me until I saw my webpage had not updated.
I got on the line and walked through the entire situation (domain logon, FTP logon and other details) with a very helpful young lady.
