Experiences MX + RPI + WH3080 until now (3021)

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Experiences MX + RPI + WH3080 until now (3021)

Post by henkg »

This is quite a dull post. No problems, no questions, no answers.
Then why this post? To let you know I am very happy with CMX, it just works fine. Many thanks to Steve.

Today I installed 3021. Previous version was 3019. My last RPI login was 22-02-2015: proof that CMX on a RPI is stable.
I like the new graphs, especially because they load much faster.

(Still no news on my Synology NAS test (DS210j with ARM v5 processor). Stuck on missing libudev0. I hope other Synology testers are more familiar with installing / compiling.)

Hi.
Having one small issue with the install to a Raspberry Pi and WH1090, I can't seem to get the FTP to the Web Server working.
I don't have the station plugged in at this point as I wish to confirm operation before changing over.
The Sever is running on a QNAP TS211 and still rx uploads from Cumulus 1 running on a windoze machine.
I copied the whole contents of the zip file to the Pi, Cumulus.ini to the dir on the Pi, and checked the Internet FTP settings... all correct.
I can access the interface on the Pi, but QNAP is reporting no uploads from the Pi.

Neither Cumulus 1 nor MX will do automatic uploads if it hasn't received any data from the station. There is currently no 'manual upload' option in MX.

Thanks Steve. That explains.

One other question... when you say "If you want to operate the 'standard' web site, you will need to upload the contents of the webfiles folder from the zip file.", do you mean load to CumulusMX Server, or Web Server.

The folder webfiles shall be uploaded to the webserver. It holds javascripts and stylesheets for the presentationwebsite.

As a general point - editing posts to add a question (as I believe was done here) isn't a good idea, because there's a good chance that I'll already have read the original post, and I have no way of knowing that the post has subsequently been added to, which is why I hadn't answered this question.
