Barometric Pressure Advice

Hi Guys,

I have been lurking for a couple of months and finally registered as I have go myself a W8681. :D

I'm just in the process of setting it up and I'm not sure what to do with the barometric pressure. :? I'm 273m high, on the edge of the West Pennine moors above Bolton and the nearest (poss calibrated) weather station is at Manchester Airport. Clearly, there is a difference in altitude of 195m between here and the airport, and my question is:-

Do I set my relative pressure to match that of Man Airport or is it more difficult than that??

Many thanks in advance for any answers.

Mike.

That should get you close, particularly if you do it today (and check it tomorrow) as there is a reasonable area of high pressure moving in for the rest of the week.

Thanks Steve, it seems to be following that at Manchester Airport quite nicely. :D
