Hi.
I have done some investigation on this forum and I have a common problem but can't find the solution.
My realtime.txt is not being uploaded to my server. Cumulus can't fine the file, see log

My question is, how do I point it to the correct directory?

Re: Cumulus realtime.txt not uploading
That's the server saying it can't find the file or directory, not Cumulus. You probably have the wrong directory configured. It's very difficult to tell you what you need to put without knowing how your ftp server is set up, but if your web pages are being uploaded to the correct place, it's a reasonable bet that you just need to leave it empty.

Re: Cumulus realtime.txt not uploading
Thanks for the help Steve
The problem appears to be that realtime.txt is nowhere on the server.
I have attached the realtime ftplog, I believe that the realtime.txt file is not being found to upload to the server.
I hope that you can help.
Incidentally, if I manually copy the file to the serve, it works fine.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Cumulus realtime.txt not uploading
No, the problem is that the server can't create the file. What have you got in the 'Directory' box in the internet settings in Cumulus? It is probably incorrect, hence the error message from the server. If it's not empty, have you tried leaving it empty as I suggested above?stevei wrote:I believe that the realtime.txt file is not being found to upload to the server.
Edit: towards the end of the ftp log, it appears to start working. Could you give a link to your web site, please?

Re: Cumulus realtime.txt not uploading
The 'directory' box is on the sites/options tab. But it was apparently working at about 12:55 anyway, according to the ftp log. If your Cutags.php file is being uploaded to the correct place, then it follows that you need to leave the 'directory' box empty.
Is that free hosting? They often don't support .txt files.

Thanks again
When you pointed out where the directory information was, it gave me a clue and I added a / to the public_html and it started working.
Many thaks again.

Re: Cumulus realtime.txt not uploading
Cumulus uses the units on the station settings screen for everything. If you have deg C configured in Cumulus, then the conversion to deg F must be happening elsewhere.
