Just one question. Have you ever updated the web cam image?

What - this one: http://sanday.org.uk/webcam/webcam.php

The problem was that it was just a camcorder sitting in the window, and the cats kept knocking it out of the window. I decided the view was pretty boring anyway, so gave up on it. I then bought a wireless IP cam with the intention of putting it at the front of the house pointing out across the bay, which is much more interesting. Then I discovered that the IP cam I'd bought wasn't suitable for pointing out of the window (can't cope with the light levels) so the whole project got shelved. I guess one day I'll have another go.

I'm using a pretty standard USB webcam mounted in a weatherproof box with perspex window, Mounted on the wall of the house under the eaves. It faces almost due south, looking across the valley - we live on the SE side of a hill, so have a good clear view.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
