Cumulus Support

Hello to everyone.
For five years i use without any problem proweather station 1080. After five years its time to change it. I have seen the station W-8681-MKII without sollar panel (http://india.cybex.gr/appl/cybex/photos/watson8681.jpg). Its the only model that i can find - like mine station - in GREECE. Is anybody use this station? Is it compatible with Cumulus? Has it problems? I saw that model 8681 with solar panel has a lot of problems.

I think the W8681 is the same station as the WH1080. It's the same as far as Cumulus is concerned, at least.

With 1080 i don't had any problem with Cumulus at all. After i learn how it works and with your help, everything is good. I hope and 8681 MKII hasn't any problem.

If you get it & when you are ready, let us know how it works, the ws 1080 needs resetting often here (well i have a maplin's copy of the 1080) but i am afraid the one you have mentioned seems just another copy

With my 1080 i didn't have any problem at all. Yesterday i sent email to the owner of weather station http://users.otenet.gr/~oqe3qh/ and he told me that he hasn't also problem.
I lets you know if i'll change it.
As i have read in this forum, the same model with solar panel has a lot of problems.

ohh sorry misunderstood your post, what are you going to do with the old 1080 you keep it for emergency or going for sale?
Any way i may start looking for a similar replacement

I think I misunderstood too, I assumed that the original had failed. Why are you changing it, if not?

Yes from Valanio. I try everything to help him but there is problem with his USB port and can't repair.

Any opinion for ths station from someone WHO use this station?
