Does this happen for all of the graph json files, or just that one? Does it happen on every upload, or just occasionally? If you turn on ftp logging, the ftplog.txt file may throw some light on the problem.

CumulusMX doesn't like IE 11.

It works fine for me with IE11, and others that I am aware of. It must be something specific to your setup - someone else who was having problems with IE11 needed to update their graphics drivers, for example. More information might help me or someone else to diagnose the problem.

It would be helpful to me if you could also install the latest build, please.

I can see the files in the ftp folder, but they all show a file size of "0".

As far as IE11. The problem is when I go to settings and select a menu item. I noticed on the black bar it only says Cumulus MX b and nothing else happens. I've attached a screenshot.

The diags file isn't of any use in diagnosing ftp problems, you will need to turn on ftp logging as I suggested. Zero-byte files and timeouts are often caused if you have active ftp mode selected when your network setup requires passive mode, or vice versa, so you could try reversing that setting first.

Your IE11 isn't loading the settings data from Cumulus, but I can't say why that would be - if you wanted to investigate you would need to turn on the developer's console in IE11 or use something like Fiddler

I assume that on your server you have actually created a directory named 'cumulusmx' and checked it is spelt correctly / all in small letters? As when I try to access this on your server I get 'Error occurred: 403 - forbidden'.

Also, how is MX getting data from your VP2 as I see your main site is using WD?

It's what follows the part that you've quoted which would be useful. The part you've quoted is just the ftp component asking for the size of the file on the server, but it doesn't yet exist. It should then try to upload the file - which may give the same error if the path is incorrect.

If I wanted to start over with CumulusMX, what steps do I need to take?

1. delete the directory?

It looks like there is no response from trying to upload the file in passive mode, so perhaps active mode is required. The part of the active mode log you've quoted, again stops at the critical point. What happens after

In CumulusMX internet settings I have the directory as: /webspace/httpdocs/curtiszmweather.com/cumulusmx

If I use active, the files are transferred with 0 kb of data. If I look in CumulusMX on my PC the files do show kilobytes of data in them. I can manually transfer them just fine.



P.S. I only use Chrome.
IE11 and Firefox will bring up the program and display data. When I go into settings and open station settings or internet settings I can always tell when it is not working correctly. It will show Cumulus MX b in the black bar with no revision or build number and never open the settings.
I'm running Windows Defender with Malwarebytes.
Maybe sometime you could remote into my PC and take a look.

Rather than me having to guess how your ftp server is organised, it might be useful for you to PM me your ftp account details, then I can see for myself, and try some test uploads, if that would be OK?
