Maplin Professional Solar Powered Wi-Fi Weather Station

Hi guys. Sorry if this has already been asked.

I was wondering if it was possible to use the cumulus software without plugging in the base unit to my laptop?

I love the UI of cumulus and want to carry on using it.

No, they (apparently) don't have the same USB protocol/interface available as the other Fine Offset stations, so won't work with Cumulus.

You would definitely have to plug the base unit into your laptop to use Cumulus that I assume you have installed on your laptop.

If may be worth you trying this if you're prepared to install Cumulus on your laptop and plug the Maplin/FO base unit into your laptop.

Hi,

Is it even a Fine Offset (manufacturer) station? I vaguely remember a "review" (on this forum?) where I believe it may have been described as a Lacrosse.

The (remote) internal Wireless Temperature/Humidity sensor looks identical to a Lacrosse set that I use. But Lacrosse seems to be another of the "Badge" names which covers a multitude of sins.
