log file error

Post by pernaczy »

Hi Steve,
Ihave got an error message related to January 2015 log file "jan15log.txt" (see "error.jpg" file): abbreviation "jan" in Polish is "sty"
I have corrected errors from daily backup files.
The question is: What is the reason it happened?
Also attached is: corrupted log file and bug report file.

Best Regards,
Piotr

It's some kind of corruption in the file. I can't tell you why it happened, corruptions can occur with any file on a PC, that's why you should backup your data if it's important to you.

Steve,
Again I have got an error message related to JANUARY log file "sty15log.txt" (see attachement "error.jpg")
What I noticet was that at the end of log file "sty15log.txt" were two empty lines 4300 and 4301. Could it be the source of the problem? (attached is "sty15log.txt" file with those two lines REMOVED)
Best Regards,
Piotr

Yes, blank lines cause that error message, as mentioned in the FAQ.
