<#timeUTC format=

Was about to report an issue with
<#timeUTC format="ddd, dd MMM yyyy hh':'mm':'ss 'GMT'">
reporting local instead of UTC time.
Noticed b3008 available so tested and format now correct.

Now that is what I call service above and beyond the call of Duty - fixing the issue as I noticed it and before I could advise I had a problem!

I was getting really strange results and it appeared the code had fixed it.
It is used in the rss feed headers which then get reprocessed by the browser rss parser back into the reader's local date.

Have found I need to keep the script it is called from and the feed script in the same folder and also have to set the time zone.
At the moment I only have the CumulusMX 'now' page setting the time zone (added some php to handle this). Not sure how the other pages are handling the rss at the moment - it is well past 1 am here so I'm off to bed!

Just to follow this thread up - my date/time does not seem to be coming up correctly in my rss feed (attempting to use RSS to Lametric - more on Lametric in a future post, we have it running data from Cumulus to the display, its a great little gadget for weather data) -

The RSS is http://weather.casa.ucl.ac.uk/cumulus.rss

Any thoughts on the date/time would be great...

Andy

The date and time in the RSS look OK to me, what are you expecting it to look like?

It's not obvious to me what the problem is from the link you've posted - could you give me a clue? You are presumably using the <#timeUTC> web tag, as in the original post in this thread?

I'm seeing this as the time - '7:nn a52p52'

I'm assuming the 'nn' should be 'mm' and the 'a/p' should be 't'.52'

Ah, I was looking at the 'pubdate' field. So yes, the format strings just need to be the correct ones for MX, as in the instructions.

Changing the format fixed the time date - sorry just realised it was a basic question!

Thanks for taking the time to point me in the right direction...
