Thanks Steve. Happy to jump on board whenever. Indeed, it would be trying it with a Davis VP2. If Synology isn't a flyer then a RPi will do just fine.

Many thanks

Martin

Good news Steve.
I bought RaspberryPi and have WS2350 Weather Station.
I am already running Cumulus successfuly for 4 years. Now I want to transfer all my data to RaspberryPi. Please include me in Your test team for Cumulus MX.

Thank You!

Marko

Hi. I'd be happy to give this a try. I'm not very experienced with testing etc but will provide feedback where I can.

Thanks.

Hi

Happy to help - I've got a Vantage Pro2 with solar & UV on serial port.

My weather server is a Centos 6.5 VM running under ESXi, (other software atm) but I have VM's for FreeBSD10, 9 and Centos7 if you want me to try to break it

steve wrote:Going off-topic slightly, I've been looking at those Synology boxes and I think I might get one to replace my Windows Home Server system, assuming MX does run OK on one.
Take a look at the QNAP NAS devices - newer models have a software addin called Virtualisation Station and you can run other OS on top of the base NAS software, with screen access either through the onboard HDMI, or via VNC.
I don't know what the performance is like though, but their product page shows Windows guests.
It runs under Linux KVM, which is industry standard.

Almost brought one myself, but decided to stay with ESXi.

Everyone who has asked to join recently should now be able to see the Cumulus MX section of the forum.

If this a request to join the beta test, then can I politely suggest that you wait for the release version, as I think there will be difficulties with providing feedback.

Hi I am very interested in beta test MX. I moved from windows to Mac several years ago and have missed Cumulus.
I will be running it both in MacOSX and on Rasberry Pi
