Hello, newbe here, hope someone can help, i am getting an OFL message on my WS 2308 weather station for the outdoor temperature sensor, manual does not mention this so can anyone help in clearing or is the sensor or base unit faulted

Welcome to the forum. Page 36 of the manual specifies "Temperature Range : -21.8°F to +157.8°F (show "OFL" if outside range)".
I don't know that specific station, but the fault is probably in the external sensor/transmitter, which may use a thermistor that has failed (perhaps become disconnected or short-circuited).
Thus the external transmitter probably needs to be replaced. But if you have any electronics experience/tools then it may be possible to identify the thermistor (if it exists) and perhaps repair/replace. However, a replacement thermistor may raise calibration issues.
