A couple of times my high of the day reading has been reported as 140 F when it's really closer to 32 F. Is there some way to fix this problem?

It's a common problem with Fine Offset stations, see the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#I_get_ ... h_readings.

Cumulus provides 'spike removal' settings to attempt to filter out the garbage. These are on the calibration settings screen (on the 'Configuration' menu), as mentioned in the FAQ. As also mentioned in the FAQ, make sure that you have selected the correct station type, as an incorrect choice will lead to invalid data.

OK, thank you for that response. I went where you suggested and looked at the spike removal settings. The temperature is set as 999.0C. What do you suggest I set that reading at. Bear in mind that I am a NEW user of this software and haven't tried to work out any of the kinks in it yet. I would really like some help here.

There's no figure that works for everyone, it depends on the normal conditions at your location. You could try using a setting of 10, say, to begin with, and see how that goes.

I'll give that a go and see what happens, thanks.
