I have really been enjoying GNU/Linux now having ran it almost exclusively for 6 months. I, and I am sure several others, patiently wait for Cumulus for GNU/Linux. In the meantime, if you haven't given GNU/Linux a shot you should. You can burn it to a DVD and boot off the DVD and use it without installing it. It won't run as fast as if it was actually installed since it is running from the DVD, but it will give you an idea if it is for you or not.

The different "versions" of GNU/Linux are called distributions. I like to "distro hop" a lot trying new ones, but my absolute favorite is Ubuntu MATE. I like the LTS versions which are supported for several years and the current one is 14.04.1 LTS. You can check it out here...

And it is GNU/Linux--not Linux. Linux is just the kernel. GNU is the set of programs therefore the operating system is GNU/Linux :)
