Solar radiation constantly higher than theoretical max

Newbie here. I upgraded from a Weather Monitor II to a Vantage Pro2 Plus in April. This allowed me to begin using Cumulous, which is great software.

During the summer, the theoretical max solar radiation was almost always greater than the actual on the graphs. I just started keeping track of sunshine hours in relationship to my electric heat usage and discovered that now the graphs for solar look inverted. By this, I mean the theoretical max is always lower than the actual. It almost looks like the the theoretical max is really the actual. Has anyone else encountered this.

Thanks, Mark

You will need to adjust the parameters of the theoretical max calculation (on the station settings screen) to get a better fit for your location. You may not get a perfect fit that works all year round, and the actual will inevitably be higher than the theoretical max on occasion anyway, due to cloud reflections and other factors.
