Lost sensor contact!!!

Post by ace2 »

I often get these errors in Cumulus about lost contact, which I think is the wind sensor as there is no wind at the time and my observations show zero wind at that time..
Is this the case???

As I understand it, the console sets the 'lost contact' flag if it hasn't received any transmission for about six minutes. It's not just related to one particular sensor.

Some people have been getting the flag set when apparently there hasn't been a loss of transmission for six minutes, and the flag is only set for one reading, so it is apparently a false positive. I added code in build 1099 to log the data packet with the flag set, to the diags log. If you are experiencing this situation, rather than a 'genuine' loss of transmission, it might prove interesting to look at that logged packet.

Thanks for that info steve, I'll update my version for logging.
I might even change the batteries on both just in case. Its been about 6 months since the last change.
