Apparent temp for weather underground 'feels like'

Hi Everyone

Absolute newbie to the weather collecting and data transfers for cumulus and weather underground.

My question is, the weather underground 'feels like' temp display only displays the actual temp. But when I change the code (in weather underground website) for a few seconds until it changes back I see the apparent temp displayed correctly. So I think that instead of asking weather underground to change their website code to accommodate cumulus, maybe Steve could change HIS code to transfer the data with the label 'feelslike' as the webpage is requesting data from.

Sorry if this is not understandable.

Cumulus doesn't send any 'feels like' or 'apparent' temperature to Wunderground, nor does it have any control over what 'labels' WU use for the data that they display. None of this is part of the upload protocol - http://wiki.wunderground.com/index.php/ ... d_Protocol

The 'feels like' temperature on my WU page currently is not the same as the actual temperature; it looks like it is displaying wind chill.

My guess would be that they are displaying 'wind chill' or 'heat index' as appropriate, which is a common way of doing a 'feels like' temperature, as they can't occur at the same time. In the range in the middle where neither apply, they will presumably show the actual temperature. Whatever it is that they are displaying, they are calculating and labelling it themselves.
