Windows 7 Update and 32701 Error

Hi CUMULUS Users,

My system won't start after this latest update. At first I had some corrupted log files which I cleaned with Notepad++. At least CUMULUS started. This is very strange. Any thoughts? Configuration attached.

Thank you,
Phil

I think that Configuration capture is for your Internet settings. The 32701 error would be communication between console and your computer/Cumulus. Have you tried to shut down Cumulus, run Weatherlink to make sure it works, note the Com Port number, then stop Weatherlink and restart Cumulus, making sure you set Cumulus to the same Com Port that Weatherlink uses.

I have found in the past that I had to reboot the computer, run WL, stop WL, and then run Cumulus and the 32701 error disappeared.

Paul,

Well, you won't believe this solution. I unplugged the data logger chip (with strong pliers - "grab here") from the inside of the VuePro 2 console box and put it back in. The system started right up and all the data downloaded.

I am not sure how the multi-pin plug got loose inside the box, but I have been around computers and electronics since the late 1960s and sometimes you have to punch all the buttons. No stone unturned.

Thank you so much. It was a communications problem between the data logger and the console. The WeatherLink software could not find the device either and that lead me to the pliers.
