There was a typo - a missing close quotes - in Mark's code. So you need:

Code: Select all

Absolutely marvellous. Thank you very much. All is now working the way I want.

I am most impressed, not just by the program but also by the wonderful support in this forum. After feeling that I was the last person left on earth by the support from my last weather program, it seems that I have found a highly impressive and effective community here.

Thank you very much everyone. :clap:

Hi again,

One more little question. I would like to make the links at the bottom of the Cumulus web page a little larger so they become a little more obvious.

How do I achieve this, please?

I presume that I place a character in square brackets before and after the text I wish to make bigger but what is that character?

By the way, I am so pleased with Cumulus and the support I have received in this forum that I have now donated. Well worth it.

Regards

One way to do it would be to edit the weatherstyle.css file in the Cumulus webfiles folder (or take a copy somewhere). Find this section:

Code: Select all

.td_navigation_bar {
	text-align: center;
	padding-top: 1em;
	padding-bottom: 1em;
	letter-spacing: 0.2em;
	background-color: #f0f0f0;
}
and add a line to change the font size from the default 10 point, e.g.

Code: Select all

.td_navigation_bar {
	text-align: center;
	padding-top: 1em;
	padding-bottom: 1em;
	letter-spacing: 0.2em;
	background-color: #f0f0f0;
	font-size: 12pt;
}
Save the file then ftp it to your web site to replace the existing weatherstyle.css file.

Many thanks for the donation.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately there is no change in the appearance on the web page. The size is still the same. I also tried to increase it to 14pt just to be sure but it still did not make the size change.

I did check the file on my web site and it does show the updated time stamp so it seems to have changed. In case my copy and paste had a problem, here is the altered section:-

}
.td_navigation_bar {
text-align: center;
padding-top: 1em;
padding-bottom: 1em;
letter-spacing: 0.2em;
background-color: #f0f0f0;
font-size: 14pt;
}

Any ideas?

The file which is actually being used on your web site is http://www.hneil.plus.com/now/weatherstyle.css and that still has the default, so you probably uploaded your modified version to the wrong place - to the web space root, perhaps?

Edit: Yes, here's your modified version: http://www.hneil.plus.com/weatherstyle.css, that's not the file that the pages in the "now" directory are using, they expect the CSS file to be in the same directory.

Marvellous. Well spotted. I have now uploaded the file to the correct directory and it is working as I wanted. I have left it at 14pt as that is perfect.

Thank you, once again, for all your help.
