Cumulus Support

Hi,
Is it possible to change weather underground url for sending data?
Would it be possible that it would become possible?

My situation is that I have web server that can accept data sent in same format as for wunderground, and idea is to setup Cumulus to send data to my server via wunderground "plugin" part.
If this is not possible, can you please suggest me how to do it simplest?

Simplest way: Edit your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file to add an entry for rtupdate.wunderground.com (for rapid fire) or weatherstation.wunderground.com with the address of your server.

That was my initial idea, but...
Problem is on web server that is hosted and it does not know for that domain (and I can not configure in that manner), so it replies with 404 as it can not assign requested domain to any of local registered domains.

Ah, sorry, I thought it was your web server.

Run a local proxy and rewrite the URL. Fiddler will apparently do this, for example, but I haven't used that aspect of it. I find it very good for debugging.

Ehm, it sounds much easier if I could change this parameter in some application config, than adding additional software. At our server we use over 20 cumulus installations, and it would be hard to explain how to setup proxy, configure it, and than setup proxy in cumulus.
I was thinking to find this in some config, but it looks like it is hardcoded in code
Is there any chance you could get it out to config?

It's something I could consider for inclusion in a future version. If you would like to create an enhancement request, then it won't get forgotten. As you will see, there are a lot of outstanding requests already, and I am also in the middle of writing a new version of Cumulus.

Hmm, sounds right
Is there any chance I might help you to program this?
I am also programmer, and I might do this part. Since I am not very familiar how you do programming, I would not mess too much
What do you think on this?

Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to work alone on Cumulus. Besides, it wouldn't be right for me to expect donations if other people wrote the code
