Error 10060 means that Cumulus isn't getting a response from the ftp server (it's a connection timeout). There can be any number of reasons for this, often associated with blocking by firewalls or anti-virus software.

Assuming it was actually working before (i.e. you have entered the required information about the ftp server correctly), then something has changed somewhere to cause it to stop working. You could try setting active ftp mode (or unsetting it if you already have it set). If that doesn't help you will need to find out what it is that is stopping the connection to the server being established.

The box is empty because no transfers have taken place. The box is just supposed to give you an indication of what is going on after the ftp connection has been established; it is not suitable for diagnosing problems. For that, you need to turn on ftp logging and look at the ftplog.txt file. It may give more information, but it may just show that no response is being received.

The usual reason under such circumstances (assuming you have configured Cumulus correctly) is that anti-virus or firewall software is blocking the connection. What does the ftp log show?

It's timing out the connection attempt after 20 seconds because there is no response from the ftp server.

I've just tried initiating a command line ftp connection to 173.245.104.33, and it times out for me too. What name have you put for the server in Cumulus?

Looks like a problem with the ftp server:

C:\Users\steve>ftp www.elmsteadweather.co.uk
> ftp: connect :Connection timed out
ftp> quit

C:\Users\steve>ftp elmsteadweather.co.uk
> ftp: connect :Connection timed out
ftp> quit

C:\Users\steve>nslookup elmsteadweather.co.uk
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: elmsteadweather.co.uk
Address: 173.245.104.33

C:\Users\steve>ftp 173.245.104.33
> ftp: connect :Connection timed out
ftp>
