I think it's worth a try. The more I think about it, the more I think that this just can't be the way it was intended to work on this model, and that there's some kind of issue with yours in particular.

Sure I'll give it a shot. Anything I need to lookout for after resetting or should everything continue on ok?

I think everything should be OK. You might get one bad set of readings, depending on what the reset actually does to the memory contents. Try to do the reset immediately after closing down Cumulus, that way it won't need any logger entries to catch up again. I'm not sure whether you'll need to set the logger interval again, and perhaps the relative pressure.

Ok done. I noticed the 2x AA batteries were badly leaking and one cell was pretty buggered, that might not have helped. I swapped them out and cleaned the contacts. Adjusted the relative barometer to the local area.

I also noticed while the time was correct before the change on the console, the date was two days behind for some reason. I changed the time/date and everything after setup, and cleared the memory again to make sure its starting from the correct point in time.

Bugger I seem to have missed something, the barometer on relative is stuck on what I set it to, 1021.0. It's also failed to display the wind direction overnight with the PC off but with the PC on its ok at the moment.

I think it's reset its recording interval back to the console default of I think 5min? From memory I needed to set the Easy Weather software to make it record in 1min intervals when the PC is off. Anyone know where to download the Easy Weather software from again?

EDIT: Ahh nevermind found a download, and the default appears to be 14min. Just have to figure out the baro issue.

I think the default console logging interval is 30 minutes. You previously had it set to 5 minutes. I would be wary of setting it to 1 minute as that doesn't appear to be officially supported, and given the type of problem you were originally having with the 'end of logging interval' procedure in the console. Note that I've provided an application in the downloads section which allows the setting of the logger interval.

Is the barometer on the console stuck, or just in Cumulus?

Thanks Steve, it appears to have defaulted itself to 14min as that is what Cumulus logged as and the Easy Weather software is displaying it as. And thanks I didn't see your software, it has read it as 14min as well. I've set it to 5min as that's what it was before and seems to be the minimum supported by the Easy Weather software as well.

It's stuck on the console! Hasn't moved off 1021.0 but I'm not in front of it now so I'll play with it later. In Easy Weather you can set it as well but the absolute pressure is blank so I'll see what's going on there.

Bugger I tried another console reset and the absolute pressure is reading 000.0hpa. Was working ok before the first reset.

If it is any consolation the barometer on my console screwed up when I reset mine once. It developed a massive 'offset' that was too large to correct via EasyWeather (Cumulus can do it though). The readings still seem to be accurate, just 60 odd hPa out! I suspect a memory corruption to the internal calibration field occurred in my case.
