Order of lines being plotted on "Trends" graphs

Post by martinu »

When several lines on the temperature chart (eg actual, apparent, dew point, wind chill) coincide, is there any way of altering which line overwrites all the others?

It seems that the apparent temperature line (pink) is in the foreground and therefore obliterates the actual temperature line (blue) in places:

It would be useful if there was a way of the user selecting which line is to be the foreground line - I'd prefer to make it the actual temperature rather than a derived temperature such as apparent, dew point or wind chill.

This affects both the view on the Graphs screen of Cumulus and the images which are displayed on a web site.

It's determined by the third-party component which draws the graphs, and it's not easy to make it configurable, so I don't propose to attempt to do that in the current version. The future cross-platform version of Cumulus uses a completely different method of drawing graphs - they are drawn by javascript in the browser driven from a JSON data file. I may look at making the order configurable in those graphs at some point.
