Downloading Data Dialogue Box
having recently upgraded from XP to Windows 7, whenever I open Cumulus the 'downloading data dialogue box' remains on screen - even after all of the data since last time Cumulus was shut down has been downloaded. Closing and opening Cumulus several times over seems to fix it but h=there must be a setting somewhere in W7 or Cumulus that is causing the problem - anybody know the answer?

Re: Downloading Data Dialogue Box
With this weather station, there is no indication that the logger download has finished, so Cumulus just waits until ten 'normal' packets have been received and then switches to 'live' data. But normally this last part would only last for a minute or so. Sometimes these stations suddenly start sending old logger data, and this has to be discarded before live data is received.
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Re: Downloading Data Dialogue Box
It looks like the clock on your station is wrong (or at least in disagreement with your PC). For example:
30/09/2014 05:37:34.392 : History data for: 2014-09-30 07:33
When your PC said it was 05:37 on the 30th, your station was sending archive data for 07:33 on that day. Additionally, it seems to stop sending 'live' data as if it thinks the PC is no longer connected to it (i.e. it isn't receiving the acknowledgements that Cumulus sends) and starts sending archive data again.
All of the above means that Cumulus is having to process and discard packets that aren't any use to it, while possibly not receiving packets that it can actually do something with.
