Cumulus 1.9.4.1098 halts with error message after startup

Post by KRP »

This morning after a PC reboot Cumulus 1.9.4.1098 halted after startup with error message "Could not convert variant of type (UnicodeString) into type (Date)."
Restarting Cumulus leads to the same error message. Rebooted the PC and restarted Cumulus with the same error message.

I tried to run Cumulus with the Davis VP2 disconnected with the same error message.

Any idea wath could be wrong?

Klaas

For a test the short date format had been changed from "yyyy-mm-dd" to "yyyy-mm-dd ddd".
After resetting this to the old "yyyy-mm-dd" and removing all weekday information from the ini files Cumulus is running like before.

Apparently the program does not take the Windows date setting into account.

It does, and this is why this kind of problem occurs. For some settings, the Windows system routines are unable to parse the date format that the control panel allows (in some cases even the standard setting for a particular region).
