Hello
Today when as I attempted to connect to my Davis Instruments weather station is give a communication error I ran weatherlink searched for the mac address and found the IP address which was correct with the number in Cumulus. Restarted the station and checked connection on cables but still error -32701 Do you have any suggestions/?

This is an IP logger, yes? And you can connect with Weatherlink but not with Cumulus from the same PC, using exactly the same connection settings, i.e the same IP address and port?

The connection is handled entirely by the Davis DLL, and the only information returned when it can't connect is that -32701 code, unfortunately.

If the logger is busy uploading to the internet (e.g. weatherlink.com) when Cumulus tries to connect, then it will be probably be refused the connection - but I would expect Weatherlink to experience the same, and it would be odd for the situation to persist for more than a few seconds, so starting Cumulus again immediately should allow a successful connection. But you've presumably tried that, and things like rebooting Windows, so I'm afraid I have no solution to offer, sorry.

Edit: can you connect to the logger in your browser, using the same IP address that you've configured in Cumulus?

Something else to check would be that any firewall you may be using isn't blocking Cumulus.

I looked in the Antivirus and it had place a restriction on the Cumulus software when I removed that and tried to connect it worked
Thanks for your help, I love the software it just always works which is why this problem today was such a change
